Meeting Challenges Of Emerging Employment Relationships

About The Conference

Emerging employment relationships pose various challenges to the employers, employees, trade unions and authorities. Understanding these issues will help practitioners to better plan and respond to such challenges. The demography of the workforce has changed in recent years and employers need to consider factors such as an aging population, talent shortages and greater mobility of labour.

Burning issues that will be debated over the two day Conference include effective handling of dismissal cases, need for business friendly employment laws, vicarious liability, outsourcing, doctrine of legitimate expectation and issues arising from the implementation of ASEAN Economic Community. The MEF National Conference provides a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas and views on the key concerns of employers in managing the workforce under a highly competitive environment.
