Objectives
Employment Relationship / Employment Contract is a complex subject and the training programme will assist all who are involved industrial laws to understand better the various facets of this relationship.
The course will cover all the legal issues from the time of employment contract is drawn up until the stage of termination of contract for various reasons including retirement. The aim is to present a systematic and integrated view of the related laws, regulations and practices that have impacted employment relationship. Various situations that arise in the context of employment relationship will be discussed and analysed. This course would guide employers in avoiding pitfalls in the management of employment relationship especially in the context of rapidly changing work environment. The contract of employment – the various tests determined relationship, laws relating to recruitment and job offer, the structure of the contract.

Trainer
M. Vivekanandan is a General Manager with Malaysian Employers Federation. He has extensive experience representing employers in Industrial and Labour Court for the past 12 years. Prior to his attachment to the Malaysian Employers Federation, he had served the Department of Labour the Department of Industrial Relations (H.Q) holding various positions. He was involved in the administration and enforcement of labour laws for 25 years. He has vast experience in assisting employers in drafting employment contracts outlining rights and obligations of the parties to the contract. Mr Vivekanandan is the author of “Employment Relationship’.
Course Fees
A course fee of RM650.00 (Members) & RM750.00 (Non-Members) per participant. This entitles participants to a set of the seminar materials, “Employee Relationship” book, refreshments and lunch. Early registration is encouraged. Participants are on a first come first served basis registered. Latecomers may be considered subject to the availability of seats. Replacement is allowed.
