MEF Industrial Relations Conference 2014 on "Coping with Wider Employers' Responsibilities"

About The Conference

Contract of employment envisages the employers’ expectations as well as the employees’ obligations. The employment contract may be brought to an end if certain conditions are not met. The MEF IR Conference 2014 will explore areas where the contract can be enforced or brought to an end by either party. The Conference also focuses on pertinent issues including termination of fixed-term contract, penalties for misconduct, the proposed company’s liability due to corrupt practices of employees, human resource management, employment laws and issues on foreign workers.

The speakers for the Conference include Chairman of Industrial Court, IR practitioners and representatives from the relevant Government agencies. The Conference serves as a platform for Human Resource and Industrial Relations practitioners to share learning and experiences and to be updated on the latest developments in HR/IR in Malaysia.
